Fighting Dem Eric Massa will rematch Randy Kuhl again next year in the 29th District!

From the Corning Star-Gazette -
CORNING -- Democrat Eric Massa, who nearly unseated incumbent Rep. John R. Kuhl Jr., R-Hammondsport, last November, will seek the 29th District Congressional seat again next year. Massa announced today that he is officially opening an exploratory committee to prepare for the contest. "I was going to be very happy to stay in retirement," Massa said. "But the issues of today underline the need for an honest debate of the issues." Massa, a retired Naval officer who lives in Corning, said he is starting from "ground zero" to build a campaign staff, raise money and establish a headquarters. "We're very optimistic," he said.
I will admit, the 29th is a very conservative district, (about as conservative as they come here in New York) but I think Massa can pull it off this time. Getting 48% in a district having a 14% Republican enrollment advantage is certainly no small feat. This time Massa will have the added benefit of increased name recognition and (hopefully) increased funding from the DCCC.

I REALLY thought Massa had that race won in '06; supported him financially even though am not a voter in that district. Will be there for him again in '08. GO BLUE!
