Representative Kirsten Gillibrand (D - Hudson) will be meeting with peace activists this Saturday, February 17th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
This is just to give everybody a heads up. There will be a meeting with Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand in Hudson, NY on Saturday, February 17 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. She is interested in talking with the "peace community" in her district about the war. The exact location is to be announced early next week - I'll let you know. The meeting will focus on: Ending the war in Iraq (including HR508/Woolsey bill; HR 746/McGovern bill; supplemental spending bill/cutting off funding) Preventing military interventions in Iran Investigating the Bush/Cheney administration's crimes, including war crimes, torture, extraordinary rendition, secret prisons, Guantanamo Bay detentions, fraudulent use of intelligence to lead us into war. Call if you have any questions, and please invite interested friends from the NY20th district to attend the meeting - remember the district is gerrymandered so it goes out to Delaware County and down to Dutchess and up to Warren but avoids those Democratic bastions of Albany, Troy & Schenectady! Hope to see you then -- Susan Davies for the Chatham Peace Initiative 392-9477
