Village and Town

Well I am curious about all the turmoil in the Village. Seems there is alot of controversy concerning a Deputy Sheriff. Hmmmmmmmmm seems like it has started since the Sheriffs Dept. has taken over patrols in the Village. You would think that the local government would investigate as to why this is going on. They did sign a contract with Saratoga County Sheriffs for patrols within the Village. Appartently they washed there grimy  little hands of the whole ordeal. But that is politics as usual. I really have no interest in what the Village does. None of the Board memnbers or Mayor knows what is what.Anyways if someone could explain this I would be grateful.

Now lets get on with Town business I see where the Daniels Rd. washout went from $100,000.00
to repair for the tourist train to a cool $1,000,000.00. Well that is a nice increase in taxes for all of us taxpayers. Of course I see where Jon (Jack) Kelly is involved in it now.I am not sure how he got involved with the train. Well any how I guess we as Town taxpayers have no say. We just let the Board and Supervisior bleed us dry. I have always been curious as to why when it comes to spending taxpayers money above a certain amout it had to be voted on as to whether taxpayers wanted it or not.I guess that section of law was thrown out. Didn't need it anymore. Just like this water treatment plant the county is building with the 23 million dollars of taxpayers money. I am sorry but I personally don't need there water so would that mean I will get a refund check or lower taxes? Sure would be nice. But we all know that will not happen. It sure is ashame that people don't get involved in there local governing body anymore. It would be nice if people did take the time to be concerned with the way the local government is running there Town. But I guess just to busy or don't care
Well that is all for now will keep on plugging along.
